Oprah's Gets her Groovy Eyelashes Back?

Lova ya Oprah. Love what you do for the little girls in Africa. I even love your new age spiritualism. But I winced when I heard you say that Barack Obama has a "tongue dipped in unvarnished truth."

But your eyelashes? You lost your eyelashes?
That's right. Oprah told supporters that she cried her eyelashes off after the "Great O" delivered his speech atop Barack-Opolis.

Yikes.

By the way, for those of you outraged by the nutty ballot question #2 that would essential make it legal to drive around stoned - like Anthony "Machine Gun" Gaston, the FORMER Boston firefighter (thank Christ) allegedly did earlier this year, while in uniform; on his day off; in a BFD vehicle - here is how you can help stop the insanity.

Another example of the "wussification" of America

First Michael Phelps is blasted as an enabler of fat kids across the country because he decided to endorse Frosted Flakes instead of the usual Olympian cereal billboard of Wheaties. Nutritionists are lamenting that Phelps should set a better example to obese kids everywhere. Hellooooo? Phelps eats 12,000 calories a day and he is svelte. Why? Because he moves his body. Tell your fat kid to get off his fat can and run around until the street lights come on like we used to.

Now a nine-year-old is "too good" to play on a Little League team. Parents are afraid that his fast ball could hurt someone.

http://news.google.com/news?hl=en&q=nine%20year%20old%2C%20little%20league&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wn

Come on! If we continue to bubblewrap kids they will be completely ill-equipped to deal with any real adversity. If you strike out, suck it up. Don't throw the achiever off the team.

Boston Fire Chief or serial psycho rapist?

That is the question that Boston fire officials are dealing with after "a dozen" women have now accused BFD Deputy Chief Peter Pearson of raping them at gunpoint. Gratefully, the guy is behind bars which means we are not paying him (unlike State Predator Jimmy "who thinks with his willy" Marzilli) but it is frightening to think that this guy could have answered a medical run at my house - or any other house in Boston - as the fire chief in charge.

Hmmm...timing of this ad suspect?

Today Barack Obama released a campaign ad trying to explain his relationship to Bill Ayers, the bomb-throwing lowlife who was one of the founders of a domestic terrorist organization called the Weather Underground. The ad comes just hours before the public college, University of Illinois at Chicago plans to finally release public documents, relating to Obama's connection to an education reform group that Ayers started. Hmmm...

But, to quote the late, great Tip O'Neil - again - "All Politics Is Local."
Consider this. Our Governor, Deval "cry poor mouth" Patrick has added a whopping 1900 people to the state payroll. What? This is the same guy that wants the public to have lame-brained flag men on public roadways to save a couple of bucks on police details? Come on folks.

BANK OF AMERICA - CLEAN UP THE COUCHES

Why does local business think they can dump on our city neighborhoods – literally?
For two weeks now, Bank of America on Gallivan Boulevard has received complaints from community activists about two ratty, stained couches that they dragged to the corner of Gallivan Boulevard and Hallett Street in the Neponset neighborhood of Dorchester.
For two weeks, bank officials have promised to remove them. We’re still waiting.
Does anyone think this would be allowed in any tony suburb? Not a chance. Why does Bank of America think it’s appropriate to dump on Dorchester and completely ignore the complaints of not just its neighbors, but its customers ?
It’s a question that I put to bank managers at the Gallivan Blvd. branch this afternoon. I’m still waiting for an answer.

Outrage of the day - Butt Blisters?

Judge Ernest Murphy - who wrote insane threatening letters on taxpayer-funded court stationary trying to shake down my old boss Pat Purcell for millions - is now the latest loser in Massachusetts to try to cash in on a disability pension. What's his disability? Butt blisters from sitting on the judicial bench? Give me a break.

Outrage of the Day

Okay - is Maureen Feeney kidding me? When will the arrogance in Massachusetts end? We have MBTA Chief Dan Grab-Our-Cash giving his fat cat executives a nine percent raise weeks after he warned us of a "hefty" fare hike. We have the suspected MBTA thief - who happens to be the brother of a dirty and disgraced BPD cop - locked up for allegedly pilfering thousands of dollars. Does anyone think it was the first time the 20-year-veteran stole.

Here is a link to the Boston Magazine story I wrote about Nelson Carasquillo - the dirty Boston cop.
